I recently purchased a new 17 in MacBook Pro with an Intel CoreDuo2
processor. I am using Microsoft XP (with service pack 2) with Parallels
Desktop for Mac. I am trying to configure Windows XP for wireless
access.
Most of the loading and configuration is pretty easy and straight
forward. I am trying to configure the XP operating system for wireless
(using the installed Apple Airport card) but am having some difficulty.
With Internet and Network access I have no trouble when using a wired
Ethernet connection using either operating systems. However wireless
access is a different story.
I don't seem to be able to 'see' any of the wireless networks
that my Mac 'sees'. I can use the Airport card in the Mac to
connect to local wireless networks, but the XP system does not see the
same (wireless) network.
Does anyone have any experience with using Windows XP with Parallels
Desktop for Mac? Or configuring a wireless connection using XP on a
MacBook Pro?
