Parallels For Mac No Sound

  2. Skype For Mac No Sound
Hello again to the community,
I have a pair of 2.1 Creative speakers hooked up to my iMac using the audio-out connector on the back.
Sound comes out fine under Leopard, but as soon as I switch to Parallels or if I reboot into Bootcamp, I can't get the speakers to produce a single note.
Is this a driver issue? Under Parallels, the Windows XP environment sees the integrated audio card (but not, incidentally, the microphone-headphone connected to one of the USB ports), and when I use Bootcamp, XP sees the USB headphone, but not the integrated sound card!
Under Bootcamp I can at least hear sounds and music through the USB headset, but I'd very much like to be able to use my speakers.
Should I shell out a few dollars to buy a pair of USB speakers instead? Or is there something I can fiddle with under Leopard or XP to get my iMac to play sounds when playing a Windows-only game for example?
As always, thank you very much for your time.
