Parallels For Mac Excel

I have used a mac for 10 years. For my job, I now need to use an application that requires a PC. I've done some reading on-line and it appears that Parallels will allow me to use both the PC application and Excel that I've been using on my mac at the same time.
1) Not being overly technical if I use Parallels, will I be able to EASILY share Excel files that have been created on my mac with the application on the PC?
2) Will I be able to share data I've copied into the OSX clipboard with the application on the PC?
2) Do I have to purchase Windows to use Parallels?
Thanks!

Wondering if you all feel as though you are able to operate at full productivity using Windows Excel keyboard shortcuts while using a Mac + Parallels + Windows Excel? Parallels allows you to run Windows on your Mac concurrently with macOS – think of it as an app within MacOS. This means you can run the Windows version of Excel, Powerpoint, and Word which may contain more features than the Mac version.

Cons: THe fact that the payment model has been moved to a subscription-based model vs just purchasing the software out right. Overall: We use Parallels Desktop for Mac on all of our Macs in our company. It makes it easy for our mac users to run the few needed Windows applications while still keeping the look and feel of the Mac OS that they are used to. I have used a mac for 10 years.
